Research areas:

Investigation of the role of metals and their compounds in the environment and living organisms, utilizing advanced methods for their speciation and localization. Developing analytical methods for quantifying and mapping solid environmental and biological samples using laser ablation hyphenated to inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS). Use of stable isotopic tracers to study metal species transformation during analytical procedures and their fate in the environment and living organisms.
