22.11.2017, Union Hotel, Ljubljana: Yaroslav Shylapnikov participated at 3rd Slovenian Science slam organised by the Science onto the Street. He presented short 5 minutes pitch with the title ˝Sources and the fate of mercury˝.

New paper - NICKEL SPECIATION IN COCOA

Cocoa products contain elevated Ni concentrations. The role that Ni plays in the flavour of food and its potential impact on human health can be better understood by chemical speciation analysis. Therefore the aim of the work was to investigate the Ni speciation in cocoa infusions.

Best Poster Award at 5th MS Food Day

Anja Mahne Opatić, ISO-FOOD PhD fellow, received the Best Poster Award for her presentation entitled "A preliminary traceability model for tomato using analysis of stable isotopes, elemental content and chemical markers" at the 5th MS Food DAY, in Bologna, 11-13 October, 2017.
