Prof. Dr. Alexander Gusev is visiting laboratory for colloid biology /
He is professor, head of laboratory as well as director of the institute at Derzhavin Tambov State University, Tambov, Russia and he is also working at the National University of Science and Technology in Moscow. He is interested in nanotoxicology, plant nanobiotechnology, antibacterial nanomaterials, carbon nanomaterials and bioaccumulation of nanoparticles.
Prof. Dr. Gusev is Winner of the competition of the International Information Nobel Center (IISC) and NAO "Salus" - "For technological solutions that contribute to the sustainable development of mankind", 2019 and Winner of the 21st Moscow International Salon of Inventions and Innovative Technologies "Archimedes-2018".
During his stay at the Deparment of Environmental Sciences we will collaborate in development of new approaches for testing antimicrobial actions of different nanomaterials. The main goal is to find new stable bacterial antimicrobial nanomaterials by testing non specific antimicrobial effects based on physical interactions of nanoparticles and bacterial cells and generation of ROS in water environment.
Prof. Dr. Gusev will present his work on 6. 7. 2021 at 10 am in the O2 Reactor lecture room. Welcome!
