New MSCA fellow Norbert Kavasi will join our department in 2021 / 8.04.2020
We are happy to announce that the two-year project STROMASS, where Norbert will work on the rapid determination of Sr-90 using laser ablation ICP-QQQ-MS, has been approved for funding on the call for Marie Sklodowska-Curie Widening Fellowships.
For more than 10 years Norbert has been working on different research projects in Japan where he currently holds position of senior researcher at the National Institutes for Quantum and Radiological Science and Technology in Chiba.
In the previous year his research interests were mainly devoted to the development of alternative methodologies for measurements of Sr-90 where he was the first to develop method for Sr-90 analysis in environmental samples using thermal ionization mass spectrometry. During his fellowship at JSI, he will try to bring this to another level and try to develop innovative, fast methodologies using laser ablation ICP-QQQ-MS. His position will start on September 1st 2021.
