IJS at ScienceJam Hackathon / 8.11.2022
On October 13 and 14, the Novo mesto Development Center organized a ScienceJam Hackathon for Slovenian high school students, where the participants solved one of two scientific and entrepreneurial challenges given by the JSI and Krka, d.d.
Dr. David Kocman and Rok Novak from the Department of environmental sciences were the scientific mentors for the science challenge.
"The event was a great success, mainly thanks to the Jožef Štefan Institute and Krka, d.d., who prepared the challenge and mentored the students. We thank you very much for this," said the project Manager Janez Gorenc, M.Sc. and added that they hope they could work with our Institute in organizing and implementing the ScienceJam in the future as well.
The ScienceJam Hackathon is the introductory event to this year's two-stage competition of market-oriented scientific projects for students ScienceJam, which is being held on March 10 (first round) and April 18 (final) 2023.
