An oral presentation co-authored by Janja Vrzel, Ralf Ludwig and Nives Ogrinc was awarded as the best SPRINGER student oral presentation at the GLOBAQUA final conference held in Barcelona, Spain in December 2018.

Call for Papers

On the 11th of December 2018 Jasmina Masten, a doctoral student at the JSI Department of Environmental Sciences, received the Prešeren award of the Biotechnical Faculty, University of Ljubljana for her Master’s work titled “Quality parameters of lettuce, tomato and bell peppers from supermarkets”.

Second meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Minamata Convention on mercury (COP2)

On 25th and 26th October, the first meeting of the REALMed project took place. The meeting was divided into two parts. On Thursday, the stakeholders meeting and on Friday, a meeting with project partners.

At the 16th International Conference of the IWA International Conference on Wetland Systems for Water Pollution Control, held in Valencia, Spain in October 2018, a poster co-authored by Bor Krajnc and Nives Ogrinc was awarded.

TV show “UGRIZNIMO ZNANOST” (let’s bite into science) presented the current knowledge about the truffle hunting and cultivation in Slovenia together with the isotopic analysis made on truffles and its aromas to determine the authenticity and geographical origins.
