G) Radiochemistry

1. Nuclear forensics with application of actinide isotope ratios

Student will develop methodologies to be applicable for nuclear forensic studies by applying different isotopic systems of elements U, Np, Pu, Am and Cm. Student will use radiometric, as well as mass spectrometric methods, such as alpha spectrometry and multicollector inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry. After methodology validation, student will apply them to the samples from nuclear power plant.
